Skin is the largest organ of the human body. It comprises of the dermis, epidermis and the subcutaneous tissues. Often, we believe that our inner organs are very crucial but forget the fact that skin as organ plays a very crucial role in fact. It performs several essential functions for human.

Firstly, it controls the temperature of the body and counted as one of the important senses of the body that protects us from outer threats to the body.

As it is highly exposed to the environment, our skin is vulnerable at the same time. There are numerous types of skin diseases that are caused due to the same reason. Many of us have suffered from any of the skin disorder or skin disease. Most of the people are aware of the common skin diseases such as acne, skin rash, skin allergies, eczema, rosacea etc. Here’s information on some of the common skin diseases.

Acne
Acne is the most common type of skin problem. We, once in our life have faced this skin disorder. Blessed are those who never had this acne. It is caused due to hormonal activity during youth. The increase in bacterial activity results in acne.

Eczema
Basically, this disease belongs mainly with the upper layer of the skin. Due to eczema, red bumps or skin rashes, flaking, scaling, itching, crusting and inflammation of the skin happen. There are different kinds of eczema such as contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic eczema , irritant dermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema and nummular eczema.

Pityriasis Rosea
Basically it affects the young ones. It causes a large rash with irritation. Respiratory infections could also be an indication of the beginning of pityriasis rosea. Abdomen, chest, and back are the areas of the body most likely to be impacted.

Vitiligo
It causes the formation of white patches on the skin. The reason behind this skin disorder is the decrease in the number of cells that produce the skin pigment called melanin. It does not affect or cause any unbearable condition but create an cosmetic impact on human.
